ABOUT ME

Who Am I?

The original plan was to become a physician. A few years into the major, I stumbled upon a psychology course, switched, and never looked back. Along the way, I’ve had the pleasure of working in various settings — from emergency rooms to national insurance companies, and everywhere in between.

I work with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, anger, grief, and addictions. One of my passions is working with “toxic shame” or Chronic Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have gained experience and knowledge from formal educational settings, professional positions, physicians and counselors. But most of all, I’ve learned

My Approach

Every counselor is different, and it’s very important that you feel comfortable with whomever you seek treatment from.

I am a California transplant, so my approach differs from other area practitioners. I will not listen to you while nodding my head in silence during our time together. Instead, I will be giving you feedback that will be both supportive and challenging.

Therapy doesn’t have to be an endless experience. I’m interested in helping you get better NOW. When I look across the room, I see YOU FIRST and not an insurance code.

I will never lose sight of the fact that you are a human being, a person who wants a better life, just like the rest of us.
